Preparation for the New Heaven and the New Earth: Page 119

Preparation for the New Heaven and the New Earth

God will complete the preparation for the last part of this dispensation, The DISPENSATION OF THE FULLNESS OF TIMES.

The heavens will depart as a rolled-up scroll and the islands and mountains shall be moved out of their place (Revelation 6:14).

In the day of God, the heavens, being on fire, shall melt with fervent heat (Revelation 21:1a).

12 The heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat (II Peter 3:12).

There will be no more sea (Revelation 21:1b).

The heavens and the earth as we know it will pass away, and God will keep His promise of a

13 new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness (II Peter 3:13).

The holy city, New Jerusalem, shall come down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband (Isaiah 62:4; Revelation 21:2, 9-10).

God will be united with His creation.

The land, Jerusalem, is the bride, the mother of us all (Galatians 4:26), and the righteous saints, the children arrayed in fine, white, clean linen, are the adornment for the wedding and future pillars in the temple of God (Isaiah 62:1-5; Revelation 3:12; 19:7-8; 21:2-3; Matthew 9:15; Jeremiah 2:32).

One of the seven angels told John:

9b Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God (Revelation 21:9b-10).

Her length and breadth and the height are all equal, 1500 miles (Revelation 21:16).

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations (Revelation 22:2).

1 There will be a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him.

5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever (Revelation 22: 1, 3, 5).

3 And I (John) heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful (Revelation 21:3-5).

This New Jerusalem will reside far above the new earth in the heavens, reaching at least 1500 miles above the earth’s surface (Rev 21:16).

Is this not the future home of the members of the Body of Christ in their glorified resurrected bodies?

In the BUT NOW dispensation we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings.

In the AGES TO COME we will also be blessed with all physical blessings, be heirs of God and be co-inheritors, joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17) who is heir of all things (Hebrews 1:2).

Are we not seated in heavenly places?

Have we not been given administrative positions, judging the world and angels (I Corinthians 6:2-3)?

Are we not promised that we shall ever be with the Lord?

(I Thessalonians 4:17) May we not have the gift of the Holy Spirit transportation system that we have witnessed in both the Old Testament by Ezekiel (Ezekiel 3:12-14, 8:3, 11:1) and the New Testament by Philip (Acts 6:5, 8:39-40) and be able to travel swiftly throughout God’s Kingdom?

Is not the New Jerusalem, the Mother of us all (Galatians 4:26)?

Are we not in God’s Plan A, a heavenly program, from before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4), and Israel in God’s Plan B, an earthly program, from the foundation of the world (Matthew 25:34)?

Are not the Kingdom Saints also enjoying their new earthly home in the New Jerusalem?

Are not all that have a heavenly hope and all that have an earthly hope, members of the household of God (Ephesians 2:19), one on the earthly first floor and one on the heavenly second floor of this Great Kingdom?
