The Judgment Seat of Christ: Page 097

The Judgment Seat of Christ (I Corinthians 4:5)

20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the Gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation (Romans 15:20).

20 Jesus Christ himself is the chief corner stone (Ephesians 2:20) for two programs, both Prophecy and Mystery.

Moses, the prophets, and the twelve apostles laid the foundation of Jesus Christ for the Kingdom Church, as stated by Peter in Matthew 16:16: Thou (Jesus) art the Christ, the Son of the living God, and Paul laid the foundation of Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection (I Corinthians 3:10-15) for the Grace Church in this mystery program.

Paul was careful not to interfere with those who had been saved into the Kingdom program, who had an earthly hope, but ministered with those saved in the Mystery program, those who had a heavenly hope.

10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss (of reward): but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire (I Corinthians 3:10-15).

It is the responsibility of each individual to be careful how he builds his life and ministries on the foundation he has received.

He states in Romans 2:16, to those in the mystery program, God will judge the secrets of men by ‘My Gospel’.

In this dispensation, every believer will go before the Judgment Seat of Christ, also called the Bema Seat Judgment (II Corinthians 5:10; Romans 14:10; I Corinthians 9:24-25) and his works will be tried according to the Gospel of Grace, NOT according to Israel’s covenants.

At the judgment of the saved in this present dispensation all sinful fleshly works will have already been forgiven, burned up.

Should none of a saved individual works be worthy to survive the fire, that person’s soul still belongs to the Lord eternally (I Corinthians 3:15).

Every man that goes to the Judgment Seat of Christ shall have the praise of God (I Corinthians 4:5, Ephesians 1:12).

Pure grace.

We will be judged and rewarded according to how we let Christ live his life through us, for we labor with Christ.

8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. (Romans 14:8-12).

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (I Corinthians 15:58).

11 Now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed (I Corinthians 13:11).

9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building (I Corinthians 3:9).

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).

We are God’s workmanship.

Going to heaven is a gift and a promise that does not depend on our works, but faith in the finished work of Christ.

But the eternal reward we will receive in heaven from God will depend on our knowledge in this mystery program that is built on the foundation of the Gospel of Grace and our willingness to yield to His Spirit and allow Him to come alongside us and work in and through us. His life in us is our significance.

Just as we have by faith believed and reckoned it to be so that Christ died for our sins and was buried and raised from the dead, we must also by faith reckon it to be so that we have spiritually died with Christ, been buried with Christ, and been quickened together with Him (Colossians 2:13), raised in newness of life (Romans 6:4).

We need to reckon that we have the Power of God living in and through us.

We need to reckon that God has won the victory over sin and death and Satan, and that the Lord Jesus Christ

4 gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father (Galatians 1:4).

Everyone that appears before the Judgment Seat of Christ (II Corinthians 5:10) is a son of God and a joint-heir with Jesus Christ. If we suffer, we shall also reign with him (II Timothy 2:12).

Each member will receive a glorified body fashioned like that of the risen Lord (Philippians 3:21) and will be seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6; Colossians 1:5; I Corinthians 15:49).
