The Mosaic Covenant: Page 23

[LISTEN]

5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel (Exodus 19:5-6).

6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves (Isaiah 61:6).

2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth (Deuteronomy 14:2).

Any stranger in their midst could come to God by faith, believing the Abrahamic Covenant—their Gospel—become a proselyte, be circumcised, and keep the law.

13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant (Genesis 17:13-14).

For 2,000 years, this Abrahamic Covenant was God’s method to bring both Jew and Gentile into His family through the Nation of Israel. Because in TIME PAST, the Nation of Israel was not willing to fulfill this commission, God temporarily set this Kingdom program aside.

For the past 2,000 years, during the BUT NOW Dispensation of grace, God has extended His mercy and grace to both Jew and Gentile, to all that by faith, trust in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
