The Mosaic Covenant: Page 24
[LISTEN]
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith (Romans 3:29-30).
11
Wherefore remember, that ye being in TIME PAST Gentiles in the flesh,
who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision
in the flesh made by hands;
12 That
at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth
of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope,
and without God in the world:
13 BUT NOW in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:11-13).
In
the AGES TO COME, Israel will resume its favored position with God when
this BUT NOW Dispensation is concluded with the rapture, the catching
away, (similar to Enoch) of the Body of Christ. (I Corinthians 15:51-57;
I Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Under
the New Covenant, when the law is written on their heart, Israel will
be a Nation of Priests and again be God’s choice to bring all people on
earth into His fold (Matthew 28:16-20).
Resuming
Israel’s history in TIME PAST, we find that in their promise land, the
boundary of twelve parcels of land was established for the
then-recognized twelve tribes of Israel. These boundaries had been
established by God and proclaimed by Moses and embraced under Joshua.
They were to remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded them, saying,
13bThe Lord your God hath given you rest, and given you this land. (Joshua 1:13b).
7
And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days
of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of
the Lord, that he did for Israel.
10 And
also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there
arose another generation after them, which knew not the Lord, nor yet
the works which he had done for Israel.
11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim:
12 And
they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of
the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people
that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked
the Lord to anger.
