Why the BUT NOW Dispensation of Grace?: Page 45

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call (Joel 2:30-32).

17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. (Isaiah 2:17).

1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come (Matthew 3:1-2, 7)?

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many (Matthew 24:5)

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many (Matthew 24:11).

In the middle of the tribulation period the man of sin shall be revealed, II Thessalonians 2:3b the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Matthew 24:15
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains.

II Thessalonians 2:8

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Daniel 9:24-27, Matthew 24:15-21, Mark14-18, 21; Luke 21:20-24 all prompt those in Judea to flee to safety in the mountains when the wicked be revealed.

Similar to when God preserved the Church in the Wilderness for forty years, He will again preserve those who will flee to the mountains for two and a half years (Revelation 12:6, 14).

As the followers of Korah in the Wilderness were swallowed up by the earth, (Numbers 16:32, Jude 1:11),

we see again, the earth will open her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth (Revelation 12:16).
